Welcome to my website! Please visit the link on the bar above, to find my different galleries. You will see a variety of sculptures that represent my feelings for the subjects that I create. “An Artist takes to his work, that which is in him”. It is my goal to show the sensitivity and emotion that I strive for in my work. In a Portrait, for example, the personality and character must exist in each sculpture. It is a stunning and gratifying experience to see these elements evolve.
I receive commissions for sculpted portraits of adults and children. My varied subjects include Medallions, Recognition Awards and Animals.
I lived in Santa Barbara for twenty years. During that time I studied classical portrait sculpture with Milba Lloyd who had been a student at the Royal Academy Schools in England. To hone my skills I continue to study with Master Sculptors, such as; Rip Caswell-Animals, Philippe Faraut-Figure, at Brookgreen Gardens, S.C., Bruno Lucchesi-Figure; Louise Peterson- Dogs; Eugene Daub-Relief Sculpture, and Sandy Scott-Birds.
In 1981 I created a bust of Mother Teresa. At the time she became a symbol of peace in my life. I wrote for permission to exhibit the sculpture and was surprised to receive a two page letter from her. With her approval I cast four bronzes in an edition of five. They are on permanent exhibit at San Lorenzo Seminary, Santa Ynez, CA., the Cathedral of Hope, Dallas, TX., and Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, CA. I had an opportunity to hear her speak there. I was a guest artist at two receptions for Ronald Reagan at the Klinger Estate in Santa Barbara. These important individuals are in my Portrait Gallery.
